Scale and Polish — Professional Hygiene

A professional scale and polish removes hardened plaque deposits from the tooth surfaces and around the gum line — areas that brushing and flossing at home simply cannot reach. Dental Fillings

At W12 Dental, we use tooth-coloured composite resin fillings as our standard — they bond directly to the tooth, require less removal of natural structure than older amalgam alternatives, and are virtually invisible in the finished result. Dental X-Rays and Digital Imaging

Modern digital dental X-rays deliver precise diagnostic information at a fraction of the radiation dose of older film X-rays. At W12 Dental & Implant Centre, we use digital periapical and bitewing X-rays as part of your routine assessment to detect decay between teeth, bone levels around the roots, and any changes beneath the gum line that warrant attention. X-rays are taken only when clinically indicated — never as a routine regardless of need.

Oral Cancer Screening

Every routine dental examination at W12 Dental includes a thorough soft tissue check for early signs of oral cancer, covering the lips, cheeks, tongue, floor of the mouth, and throat. Oral cancer is highly treatable when caught early — and highly challenging when caught late. This screening adds minutes to your appointment and costs nothing extra. It is one of the most valuable things a dentist can do for you.

Preventive Treatments — Fissure Sealants and Fluoride

For patients at higher risk of decay — particularly children and teenagers with deep grooves in their molar teeth — fissure sealants provide a protective coating that dramatically reduces the risk of cavities forming in those vulnerable areas. Professional fluoride applications help to strengthen enamel and further protect against acid attack.
